I have read through pages and pages and it just seems that other people can just figure it out somehow, but it doesn't make much sense to me. In fact, you need to either disconnect the hand control from the mount or at least be sure you don't initiate alignment when you are trying to use SkyPortal.Hey yall, so I searched Google, YouTube, this platform and I can't seem to find anything that will fix this. There is no communication between SkyPortal and the physical hand control.

If that doesn't do it, uninstall SkyPortal from your smartphone/tablet, then reinstall and try again. Then, in Location (back in Settings), ensure the location info looks correct. In Date & Time ensure Use Current Time is checked. I don't understand why the SkyPortal app don't syncronize with the HC and its calibration. So yesterday I aligned and calibrated the scope with the Starsense HC but I don't find the same values of calibrating in the SkyPortal app so I can't pointing any objet with the app because the scope goes very far from. At the end of the Alignement process it is even worst! The scope is well connected to the wifi, I can see it in SkyPortal but before alignement the scope in SkyPortal is far away from reality. I've a Nexstar 8 SE with the Celestron wifi module, it's AZ mount. Hopefully someone will give us the true and correct approach! Once calibrated, I should be able to just do the align, but I have not made it out again to try it, looks like clouds all week! I've also been using the hand controller to do the movement to the bright start, the tablet is a little to fussy. I tried pushing calibrate before centering the star, but that seemed to lead to disaster. It would be nice to find a real check list for a tablet alignment, but so far I have not found it, only a HC checklist. It should be done and you can try out the goto capability. So I push Align and once again the scope goes off and does its thing finally finishing and says success of something to that effect. The tablet does some calculations and says I need to do another align (expected). I don't push it until I do a goto to a bright star and have messed around with the slewing buttons (I use the hand controller to do this) to get it all centered in the scope, then I push calibrateon the tablet. With the tablet app I do the connect and align, after the scope is done it leave a calibrate push-button.

If I move to another location do I have to do all of the above again and what happens if i move back to a location that I had originally aligned on? Should I now re-calibrate or should I repeat the goto and align on two other objects before i re-calibrate? Assuming i get a successful goto on an object after aligning to three objects, do I just need to calibrate first when i use the telescope again on another night? If it does not center on the object then use the arrow keys in the app. So assuming I get the alignments cleared and need to start again. Some say delete the app or use the HC some say that once i have used up all ten slots it will ask me whether I wish to start again. Any idea how they can be removed from both so that I can start again?. I have tried to calibrate using both skyportal and skysafari but have ended up with a number of useless alignments. Not sure what happened to my original post but, which was a bit garbled anyway so starting from the beginning.
